CIRQUE DU PASSION

 

As part of Scotlands Mental Health Arts & Film festival we explore the question, is there passion within recovery? where does the stregnth lie within us all to overcome tornado of thought and confusion?

 

The stage is set - enter the clowns!

within us all we hold an inner clown, playful imagination and a stregnth we may not know we have. Join us on a journey to realise this inner passion we all hold.

 

 

 

 

 

WALK A MILE IN MY SHOES

 

Our Changing_stages is back and taking to the outdoors using drama as their voice to explore and counter the stigma which exists around mental ill health as part of Renfrewshires newly formed network for change in partnership with Chris young's "lets walk a mile event "

 

what do you think about mental illness? Are you passionate about relieving the stigma and discrimination which exists? If so why not sign up and walk a mile to promote positive feeling and overcome the negative.

 

 

 

 

THE RIPPLE EFFECT EQUATION

 

The cascading effect of a stone rippling across a lake.

The dominoe effect of a deck of cards tumbling over one and other unable to control whether they remain standing or fall. If they fall or sink who will pick them back up?

 

many draw ties and identify the journey of recovery from mental ill health such as this. In changing_stages debut performance we explore these themes and question is possible to create the perfect recovery equation

 

 

 

 

THE RENFREWSHIRE WITCH HUNT 1697

 

A live performance based event which brings to life the tale of Christian shaw and the Paisley with tritch trials of 1697, wherein many innocent souls were lost having been falsely accused of witchcraft and black magic and conversion with the devil by one young girl. 

Weaving toigether the rich threads of Renfrewshire heritage past and present to bring life to this long lost local legend

 

 

 

 

A SPLASH OF COLOUR IN THE SHADOWS

 

Following the lives of three young gay men at different parts of thier storie we explore the oppression and stigma attached to 'coming out the closet' and how this impacts not just on on thier own sense of self & identity but how this impacts on those closest to them and how this affects the course of thier lives.
